Did you know?
The track 'Vérité' lives up to its name: artists from the DOM-TOM often use music as a platform to express social realities that mainstream media doesn't dare to show.
Collaborations between MCs and DJs are a strong tradition in the Antillean urban scene, where the beatmaker is considered a full artist in their own right, on the same level as the vocalist.
Francophone Caribbean shatta and dancehall are experiencing a creative explosion across the Antilles, driven by a new generation of artists blending Creole, French, and Jamaican influences.
" "Island music never lies — it says what the heart feels and what the streets live, in rhythm and in truth." "
